“This isn’t true, no, this…This can’t be happening!” Martha shouted and fell down on her knees.
Jack gently grabbed her from the back and tried to ease her pain. Amy was speechless.
The room was quiet for some seconds. With tears running down her face, Martha stood up, walked to the Doctor and grabbed him from his coat.
“Tell me you can fix him!” She shouted.
“I need you to listen to me carefully, Martha. I will do everything I can to save Mickey. I can help him” the Doctor said.
“So this isn’t a permanent conversion” Jack assumed.
“Of course it’s not!” the Doctor replied. “The converted humans are only tools for those in charge of what’s happening and they can change them back whenever they want, Jack”
“Can you do it, Doctor? Can you change him back?” Amy asked.
“Yes, Amy, yes I can. We can! But first we need to find their headquarters, we need to find the machine that converts them!” the Doctor responded.
“And then what?” Martha asked
“We need to reverse the polarity of the neutron flow!”

Nothing but silence could be heard. Amy, Jack and Martha were not moving from their places while the Doctor was communicating telepathically with the creature.

“Why is he taking so long?” Amy asked.
“Telepathy is a tricky ability, Amy.  The Doctor must be extremely focused” Jack replied.
“We have to be patient” Martha added.
“I am sure the Doctor is trying to get some answers” she continued.

The Doctor still had his hands on the creature’s head. His face showed no emotion. His eyes were closed.

“If these creatures are human, then why are they acting like that? Stealing babies, killing people…” asked Amy.
“This must be some kind of conversion. Just like humans can be converted into Cybers, this too must be a conversion into whatever this creature is” Jack tried to explain.

The Doctor suddenly opened his eyes.

“Martha, I haven’t asked you, where is Mickey?” The Doctor asked Martha.
“When Mickey Jr. was stolen, Mickey said he’d try to take him back and then left. I haven’t heard from him since then.” Martha replied.
“As you said, Jack, this creature is definitely human” the Doctor said facing Jack.
“And it is most definitely your husband, Martha”
